Guitartist Don Anderson from Agalloch said Musk Ox is "... one of the freshest and most original voices in neofolk." I have seen both Agalloch and Musk Ox performing live in March of 2011, and I can only agree. Nathanael plays his guitar with such passion, finess and skill... making this one of the most enjoyable albums I have ever listenned to. I wish luck to Nathanael Larochette with his project and I hope this beautiful music reaches more ears, so his songwritting skills can be appreciated by the largest amount of people possible.
